Journaling Prompt: Dedicate a page to a project that didn’t go as planned. Write about what you learned from it. What part of the “ruin” can you save and repurpose?
Technique: Deliberately tear or cut a large hole in a page. On the page beneath it, draw or write a single word that represents your escape or a new beginning. The hole in the top page frames your future.
Materials: Use broken or discarded items—a broken button, a ripped piece of fabric, a bent paperclip—as focal points on the page. Let the “ruin” become the art.
