The Found Word Collage

This project turns language into a visual medium, a great choice if you’re feeling emotionally overwhelmed or need to process a specific thought.

Materials: Newspapers, magazines, or old books.

The Process: Scan through your materials for powerful or interesting words. Cut them out, without worrying about context. The words could be nouns, adjectives, or even small phrases. Once you have a collection of words, arrange them on a page to create a visual poem or a statement. The collage becomes a direct, yet abstract, expression of your current state.
